Getting Grounded in Truth – Meditation Mutha

I’ll admit that I’m pretty old school. I’m not the first to jump on every new tech trend that comes along. In fact, I’m usually the last. When I see those driverless Waymo cars cruising down the road, I can’t help but feel a little uneasy. And when I scroll past AI-generated images and videos that look so real, I sometimes find myself wondering “what’s real anymore?”.

It’s a strange feeling to live in a world where our senses can be so easily tricked and where fact and fiction blur together in ways we never imagined. And with fact-checking falling by the wayside in both news and social media, it’s become more important than ever to slow down and verify before we share.

I’ve always felt deeply grounded in what’s real, what’s tangible, what I can feel with my heart and see with my own eyes. But even that can be tricky as of late. Because “seeing is believing” doesn’t always hold up the way it used to. Even our first-hand experiences can be filtered through personal perspectives, emotions, and biases.

So before we buy into the next headline, let’s take a collective pause. Let’s dig a little deeper and put in that extra bit of elbow grease to make sure what we’re taking in and passing along is real. Because truth matters. It always has, and it always will.

Let’s stay grounded, stay curious, and keep truth at the forefront.
